LongitudeDX: Understanding Changes in Health Over Time

Everyone’s health changes over time. To understand and predict these changes, we are building a library of personal biomarker timelines to track wellness and disease through time at the molecular level, and applying machine learning strategies to model personal health for the benefit of our users.

What the LongitudeDX project will do:

  • Provide users with kits to collect tiny blood samples on a regular basis (quick, simple, convenient)

  • Read out the body’s internal sensors by measuring established biomarkers in the samples

  • Establish each user’s personal baselines and biomarker trajectories

  • Connect biomarker changes with external events, health trends, treatments, etc.

The Benefits of Daily Sampling

By consistently tracking your biomarkers over time with daily entries in the SampleDiary, we can establish your personal baselines and easily see small variations over time. Daily sampling provides a much higher resolution picture of health, and reveals events that are unobserved by conventional infrequent sample collection.

Protein Biomarkers

LongitudeDX is transforming the established, previously expensive menu of clinical protein blood tests into an economical, personalized health monitoring tool

The test menu being created covers a majority of clinically-tested blood proteins used in medicine today as well as validated next-generation biomarkers

Biomarker Measurements

LongitudeDX uses patented SISCAPA technology to measure many proteins at the same time in tiny dried blood samples with ultra-high specificity, high precision and low cost

SISCAPA is based on the gold standard for protein quantitation (peptide mass spectrometry), and employs proprietary data normalization methods
